Sometimes owning a small vacuum cleaner is a godsend! I don't know about you but I hate to clean and one of the biggest things I hate about cleaning is lugging around a large vacuum cleaner from room to room. In fact it wasn't until several years ago that I realized that I don't have to do that at all! That's when I started looking for a smaller vacuum and I'm incredibly happy that I did.
On this webpage I'm going to discuss several options you have when it comes to finding a vacuum cleaner on the smaller side of things. I'll discuss a few brands that specialize in smaller versions and I'll talk a little bit about price so you know what to expect and how to find the best deals and where to find them. So let's get right down to it and dive right in and discuss a few models.
First, when it comes to smaller vacuums, most people think of two broad categories. The first is simply a smaller upright vacuum cleaner, the other are those small guys that you pull after you that have a canister and a long hose connected to a small hand held nozzle. I'm going to be primarily discussing the first category and not so much the second one on this webpage today.
Oreck OR100 Premier Series Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner at around $190 this is a very nice small vacuum that should fit most of your needs. It is very light weight at only 13.5 pounds yet it has a hardened steel handle and heavy-duty metal step on switch that you know won't break easily. It has overload protection and an extra strength metal hood. It also has a virtually indestructible base which is particularly nice to have on a smaller model so you know it won't break easily.
Samsung Lightweight HEPA Compact Canister Vacuum With Cyclonic Dirt Separator, Model 5115G at around $200 this is a good example of the second type of small vacuum that I talked about. It is a 1300 Watt system that has a 12 amp motor and is 99.9% HEPA filtration efficiency which you may not expect to find on a smaller model. It has the patented cyclonic dirt separator technology and a variable speed motor allows you to control the suction on the handle of the hose. This is a very nice suction canister model for the price.
Scunci TurboStar Vacuum Cleaner this is a very low end cheaper model that clocks in at around $60. It is a bagless model that is light weight enough to work easily even on stairs. It comes with a turbo brush head and a removable dust container that allows you to empty it fairly easily. Also comes with a hose nozzle and a brush which is interesting considering the cheap price.
Sebo Electronic 370 Commercial Grade Vacuum at around $820 this lightweight model might be overkill for the price range. For that money you're getting a commercial grade vacuum cleaner that has four levels of adjustable brush height and onboard tools, though what you would need them for is beyond me. This is a nice lightweight model, but as I said is probably overkill for what you need it for.
As you can see, there are many different options when it comes to a good small vacuum cleaner. The best advice I can give you is to go to an actual store and play around with the different models until you find the best one for you because what you're looking for is something that handles easily and is easy to work with and you're only going to know that if you actually hold them. Once you find the model you want come back to our website and search around for a good deal.
